Robert Brown Band

Being a fan and friend of The Steepwater Band, I had heard of The Robert Brown Band, but just never got around to seeing them. Boy, was that a mistake! A HUGE mistake!! They play my kind of music, straight up Rock N Roll!! Plus, they put on a great show!! Lots of energy in this show, from the band and the crowd. It's one of those energies that's just contagious. I really enjoyed photographing them as well. If you ever get the chance to see this band, DO NOT pass it up!!!

This particular show, they opened for Here Come The Mummies at The Lafayette Theater in Lafayette Indiana. The theater had great acoustics
The Mummies are definitely a talented group of musicians, but it's just not my kind of music.  The Robert Brown Band was the highlight for me, so this blog is all theirs..

One more thing I want to add. I notice a lot of people like cover bands. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, there's a lot of talent out there, please take the time to check out original bands as well. Give them a listen, you will probably be pleasantly surprised. You know, the bands that you love that are covered started somewhere. As original musicians.

Peace, love and music...

Enjoy!

Robert Brown Band Members:

Robert Brown
(Lead guitar, vocals)

Micah Hattaway
(Bass, vocals)

Travis Wheet
(drums, vocals)

There are a few repeat photos in here, I had a little artistic fun.

This part of the show was AWESOME!! Micah and Robert joined Travis for some kick ass percussion....

Even though Robert is blurry in this photo, I like it because he tossed the stick, and I caught it midair in the photo.

Beatles Fest

This was my first year at Beatles Fest, and it was pretty awesome. Being one of the photographers made for a long day, but it was an enjoyable one. And the weather cooperated as well, with no rain and a wonderful breeze all day.

This wonderful even is operated by John Vezmar of The Blue Room Cafe. It was the 10th anniversary of the fest, and there were ten bands, the most they've had so far. If you missed it this year, be sure to make it next year. It's a a great family festival to celebrating The Beatles, with a children's stage, face painting (by the uber talented Sophia Rapata), and kids contests, along with all the great music.
