Even More Over/Under at Off Square Brewering....

I say "Even More..." because my husband posted his blog first, and with more photos than I have (and really good ones!). If you like mine, and haven't seen his, check it out here. I recommend that you do (and not just because we're married). His photography is right outta of the camera, with very little editing, if any. Whereas mine is a little more edited and artsy. He usually posts more photos as well. Anyway, on to mine...

This was our first time at Off Square Brewing, and we really liked it. The set up for the band was cool, the sound was great, and so was the food! I don't drink beer though, so you'll have to discover that for yourself. We split a steak sandwich and some Parmesan garlic fries, and it was TASTY! sorry, I did not photograph the food, as it was gone fast, lol. But I did take a few band photos....

You know it's a good time when the lead singer is dancing on the table while his band mates do some singing...

I think the following is my favorite photo of the night..

And if you go to Wes's (my husbands) blog,
you'll see he got "the finger" and I got the happy waves...
(that's because I'm their favorite, but don't tell my husband, lol)

First Responders Appreciation Music Fest

(click on any photo to enlarge)

On September 9th, It was a beautiful afternoon/evening for an outdoor concert, even if it was a little cooler than usual out. Sadly, there was a lot going on in the region that night, so there wasn't as big of a turn out as there should have been. I mean, these are some of the top musicians of the area we call home. It continually blows my mind how much talent is in NW Indiana. And it's a hard choice on some nights because they all seem to be playing somewhere...

Well, this was my choice. There was no question in my mind that I would be there. It had been forever since I had the opportunity to see Marrakesh Express, and the Cory Dennison Band? Well, not gonna miss them either if I can help it.
New to me was the Joe Marcinek Band and they had a sweet funky groove going. There was one member of the band I knew, if only by name... Waz, keyboardist extraordinaire (my words, not his. lol). I've heard his name many times in my circle of musician friends, and I found out why. Anyway, if you ever get the chance, see some of these guys play!

As some of my previous blog visitors might notice, I did not watermark my photos. I decided not to because it takes some time.  The photos are not full size, and my copyright and contact info is embedded in the metadata of the photos anyway. (Just so you know)

First up, the Corey Dennison Band

On more than one occasion, I've seen Corey walk out into the crowd playing and singing, and let me tell you, he doesn't have to be on stage to blow your mind...

"Reverend" Gerry Hundt brought his own reverend....

Next up, the Joe Marcinek Band...

Time for Waz to get his groove on...

And last, but certainly not least,
Marrakesh Express-CSNY Experience...
