I'm gonna cut to the chase here.. If you love the musical Chicago, GO SEE THIS!! You only have two weekends to do it though, so get on it!
(The link above will take you to the website for tickets)

I started this journey of photographing for the Towle Theater through my husband, who did it prior to "us", and I've enjoyed every performance. This one though, is one of my favorite musicals, so I may be a bit partial.. But these young people did an amazing job!

With this performance the theater is trying something new.. A backing soundtrack. The music for Chicago is so massive, that a small ensemble wouldn't be quite right. For those of you that aren't regulars to the theater, performers are usually supported by an instrumental ensemble.
If you somehow have not seen or heard of the musical Chicago (and yes, I would be surprised), here's the synopsis:

"In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap...until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess," Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune, and acquittal."

Again, I may be partial, but I can't say enough about this show. The performances, choreography, lighting.. Everything worked with this large cast for a very enjoyable show. Enough of my praise, if that doesn't convince you to go, maybe my photos will! Take a peek for yourself..
